You have just been dismissed. You don't feel able to look for a job. The contrary would be surprising. Many dismissed people are used to take some holidays. Some of them go for a trip. Some do odd job in their house. But, when they come back, they discover themslve "unemployed". They have lost the contact with the working world. They have not built their new state of mind. The network for remote activities want to avoid this vicious cycle.
You really need to make a break. But you are not a person of independent means. This break have to correspond to your situation and needs. It's to early to flood the companies with your resumes and spontaneous applications. Your new `profession' requires many contacts. Most of the time, you practice this `job' at home. Even if you have a `hot desk' in an outplacement office, you must to be comfortable at home. Think about that, quietly, with your family. You need a table and a chair, a notepad and a pencil, a dedicated phone number and probably a fax.
Prepare your mind for a long run. Since 1997, in France, the mean delay for replacement is 18 months. Don't start for a sprint. You will have to repeat many. You will experiment "hope and disappointment". This alternation is unavoidable. Reduce it by a deep work.
Organize yourself in order to build something, day after day. Don't focus on your most recent job. Enlarge the field of your search. Don't be only a job hunter or an activity creator! Study and work, together, both hypothesis. Consider your situation like the acquisition of new skills. Job hunting and activity creation are full time, commercial and exploratory occupations. The minute you are dismissed learn the interactive job hunting!
